Competition Terms and Conditions
1. Promoter
The promoter is Jayell Investments Pty Ltd (ABN 43 006 447 169), trading as Ovens Ford, of 62–66 Parfitt Road, Wangaratta VIC 3677 (LMCT 7036), in conjunction with Wangaratta Turf Club.
2. Competition Period
The competition opens at 11:00 am AEDT on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, and closes at 11:59 pm AEDT on Tuesday, 3 November 2026.
Entries received outside this period will not be accepted.
3. Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over who attend the Ovens Ford Melbourne Cup Day Race Days on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, at 39 Cruse Street, Wangaratta VIC 3677.
Employees of Ovens Ford, Value Auto Group and Wangaratta Turf Club, and their immediate families, are ineligible to enter.
4. How to Enter
To enter, eligible participants must:
- Scan the competition QR code displayed at the event or visit the designated competition landing page on the Ovens Ford website.
- Complete the online entry form, providing their full name, email address and contact phone number.
- Submit their guess as to what is inside the rear boot of the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT on display at the Ovens Ford Melbourne Cup Day Races.
Entry is free, with no purchase necessary to participate in the competition. Standard event admission charges may apply.
Only one entry per person is permitted. Duplicate entries may be disqualified.
5. Winner Selection and Prize Reveal
Following the close of entries, Ovens Ford will review all valid submissions.
Entries that correctly identify or provide a sufficiently close description of the main mystery item will qualify for the prize draw. Answers will be assessed consistently against qualifying criteria established by the promoter before entries open, allowing for reasonable variations in wording and spelling.
If no entries meet the qualifying criteria, the entry or entries considered closest to the correct answer will qualify.
All qualifying entries will be entered into a random draw using Wheel of Names or an equivalent random selection tool. Each qualifying entry will have an equal chance of winning.
The prize contents will be revealed and the winner drawn at 3:00 pm AEDT on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, at Ovens Ford, 62–66 Parfitt Road, Wangaratta VIC 3677.
Entrants do not need to be present at the draw to win.
6. Prize
One winner will receive the mystery prize package featured in the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT display vehicle, with a total approximate retail value of $700 AUD.
The prize package includes a mystery main item, Ford merchandise, Wangaratta Turf Club merchandise and wine.
The full prize contents will be revealed following the close of entries.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E GT is a display vehicle only and is not included in the competition prize.
The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. Any prize substitution will be subject to applicable laws.
Alcoholic components of the prize will only be supplied to a winner aged 18 years or over.
7. Winner Notification and Announcement
The winner will be contacted using the email address or phone number supplied on their entry form and notified in writing.
The winner is scheduled to be announced on the Ovens Ford Facebook page on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, following the draw, verification of eligibility and any necessary consent for publication.
The promoter reserves the right to verify the winner's identity and eligibility before awarding the prize.
8. Prize Collection
The winner must provide valid identification confirming their identity and that they are aged 18 years or over before receiving the prize.
Prize collection or delivery will be arranged directly with Ovens Ford at no cost to the winner. The prize will be provided within 28 days of the draw.
If the winner cannot be identified or contacted after reasonable attempts, Ovens Ford may conduct a further random draw from the remaining qualifying entries, in accordance with applicable regulations.
9. General Conditions
The promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and the validity of entries.
Incomplete, fraudulent or otherwise invalid entries may be disqualified.
The promoter may amend, suspend or cancel the competition where circumstances beyond its reasonable control prevent it from proceeding as planned, subject to applicable laws.
The promoter is not responsible for entries that are lost, incomplete or not received due to technical issues beyond its reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law.
10. Information Collection and Privacy
Personal information collected as part of this promotion will be used for the purposes of administering the competition, verifying entries, contacting the winner and facilitating prize delivery.
Personal information may also be used for marketing and promotional communications by the promoter where the participant has provided consent.
By entering the promotion, participants consent to the collection and use of their personal information for competition administration in accordance with the promoter's Privacy Policy.
Where participants separately consent to receive marketing communications, the promoter may contact them regarding products, services, news and promotional offers by email and SMS. Marketing consent is optional and is not a condition of entry.
Participants may withdraw their marketing consent at any time.
Personal information may be disclosed to Wangaratta Turf Club and service providers where reasonably necessary to administer the competition, verify entries, contact the winner or facilitate prize delivery.

11. Acceptance of Terms
