Fill a Ford for a Good Cause with Ovens Ford

This September, Ovens Ford is proud to be part of Ford Global Caring Month, joining Ford dealers worldwide in supporting communities through the Fill a Ford for a Good Cause initiative.

From 15–25 September, we’re asking the Wangaratta community to help us fill the back of a Ford Transit with non-perishable food items, which will be distributed locally to people experiencing food insecurity through our charity partner, Open Door Neighbourhood House.

A Global Effort, A Local Impact

Ford Global Caring Month is an annual initiative where Ford dealers across the world come together to create meaningful change in their communities. This year, food drives are being held from 15–25 September, collecting essential items to fight hunger and meet critical local needs.

Globally, the challenge is significant. In 2024, 733 million people faced hunger, according to the United Nations. Here in Australia, 32% of households – around 3.4 million homes – experienced some level of food insecurity last year, according to the Foodbank Hunger Report 2024.

How You Can Help

We’re inviting customers, businesses, schools and community groups to donate non-perishable food items such as:

• Pasta, rice and noodles
• Canned vegetables, fruit, beans and soup
• Breakfast cereals
• Long-life milk
• Tea, coffee and spreads

Simply drop your donations into the Ford Transit on display at Ovens Ford, 62–66 Parfitt Road, Wangaratta. Every item helps us get closer to filling the van and making a difference for local families in need.
